On June 29th, 2024, the State Administration of Market Supervision (National Standardization Administration Committee) issued the Announcement of China's National Standards [2024] No.14, and approved the publication of 109 national standards such as Manganese Silicon Alloy and 4 national standard amendments. Among them, the revision No.1 of GB/T 26572-2011 "Requirements for the Limits of Substances Restricted in Electronic and Electrical Products" supported by China RoHS will be officially implemented on January 1, 2026.

This revision is as follows

◆ New control of phthalates.

Four phthalate esters, namely di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) and di-(2- ethyl) hexyl phthalate (DEHP), are included in the scope of application of the standard, and these restricted substances are controlled.

◆ Update the test method standard.

Update the original test method standard GB/T 26125-2011 to GB/T 39560 (all parts) Determination of certain substances in electronic and electrical products.

◆ Adjust the judgment rules of hexavalent chromium.

According to the method specified in GB/T 39560.701, the judgment result is "Cr (VI)] negative" as the compliance standard.
